1. About Simplifund

Simplifund is an Australian personal finance and tax software platform. It helps you track income, deductions, super, budgets, goals, and generate tax estimates aligned with ATO rules for the current financial year. These terms apply whenever you use Simplifund through our website or any of our applications.

2. Important: general information only

Simplifund provides general financial information and software tools. It is not financial, tax, or legal advice. The numbers and projections we show are estimates based on the data you enter and general Australian tax rules. They are not a substitute for advice from a registered tax agent or a licensed financial adviser. For advice specific to your circumstances, please consult a qualified professional.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Simplifund. You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up and to keep that information up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for any activity that happens through your account. You may close your account at any time from your account settings.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to scrape Simplifund, reverse-engineer it, attack it, send automated traffic at it, or use it to break any Australian law. You agree not to use Simplifund to store data that does not belong to you or that you do not have permission to store. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Simplifund offers a free plan and paid plans. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel a paid plan at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Refunds are at Simplifund's discretion within 14 days of the charge for genuine billing errors. We don't refund partial-month cancellations on monthly plans.

6. Your data, our software

You own the data you enter into Simplifund (your income records, your receipts, your goals, and so on). We own the Simplifund software, brand, and code. While your account is active, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Simplifund for your own personal or business financial management. This licence ends when your account does.

7. Termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms; where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to fix the breach first. On account closure, your data is deleted in line with our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers and liability

Simplifund is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law and other applicable laws, Simplifund is not liable for any tax outcomes, missed deductions, lodgement errors, financial losses, or any other consequences of how you act on the information shown in the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under Australian Consumer Law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and notify you by email or by an in-app banner. Continued use of Simplifund after the updates take effect means you accept the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
